I could say that I give credit to my networking and business skills to the bowling alley I often visited with my parents. It carried on when I was in high school when I joined the Future Business Leaders of America Club and even won top sales awards all thanks to being part of a big networking group that trusted me which was the bowling alley. Then becoming president of one of the top networking groups around.
In a 5-year span, my life’s events kind of spiraled down and many life lessons began. To make the long story short, I was determined to get back on my feet again. Building my life back, I went back to networking and socializing. And thankfully, within 30 days, I was bringing in income again.
When I formed Women Empowering Women Now, I was certain that I wanted to be surrounded with businesswomen or women with the entrepreneurial spirit. Our community of women continues to grow and educate, support, and empower each other.
Belonging and a Safe Space
Have you ever had a situation where you needed to ask someone but confused on who you should turn to? You think that it’s something your family or friends couldn’t help you with. But you have your circle of women from your networking group! They’re easy to reach out and for sure you’re comfortable asking them.
Years of experience networking, especially with women, it becomes more than just being part of a group. Women-focused groups let you meet like-minded women in business and in all walks of life. There’s a sense of belonging one feels, you're comfortable even with complete strangers. Unlike being in a mixed-gendered networking group, women’s networking groups promote engagement without the worry of speaking your mind. In a study by Brigham Young University, women speak less when outnumbered by men in group collaborations.
In Women Empowering Women Now, developing relationships is at our utmost priority. Every woman in our circle is given the opportunity to learn from their co-members. Since I started my own networking group, I’ve always been eager to support women with entrepreneurial callings to give them the resources they need to grow in their own spaces. With the help from this community of women, they’ve been key players for each other and empowering each other along the way.
Find your Tribe now, that’s one of the most important pieces of advice I could give to you. Having a Tribe to grow your potential as an entrepreneur, scale your profit, gain more resources, and have people you can lean on. You can’t do this alone. Being an entrepreneur is difficult to be honest even an entrepreneur like me who has years of experience will side with that statement. The people in your Tribe will be more than just connections.
Take it from one of Women Empowering Women Now’s members, she shares her thoughts about being part of the Elite Circle:
"I love being part of the Elite Circle because it helps me to give clarity to my business and my goals. The support from like minded women is very encouraging and motivating. I look forward to our meetings and challenges that helps direct things in motion."

How do you find the perfect tribe?
If you’re in the search for the perfect tribe that will suit you, don’t be too rash to commit and join.
1. Aligns with your values
Find a tribe that aligns with your values. It takes some getting used to being thrown into a sea of strangers introducing themselves to each other, but when the members share something in common with you it’ll be easier to adjust. How comfortable you are around everyone in the group should always be an important factor.
2. Know your needs
Who you include and recognize as your tribe should fit what you’re looking for. Know what you’re looking for, that means knowing yourself first. Are you looking to grow your connections? Or finding to build an inner circle with like-minded people? What are the qualities you’re looking for in those who are in your tribe?
3. Join as many groups and see what fits
You’re not obliged to choose THE Tribe at the get-go, just a little reminder. Feel free to explore different groups and feel them out. Go to their free networking events and see how they work, who the members are, and if you feel comfortable around them. Then you can choose.
Also, you don’t have to join only one. Different groups for your different needs, you can do that.
If you’re a woman entrepreneur in search for her tribe, Women Empowering Women Now has upcoming events that you can attend. Find out if we’re the perfect fit for you. We’d love to have you around!
